Study in Hungary

Most of Hungary is a fertile, rolling plain lying east of the Danube River and drained by the Danube and Tisza rivers. In the extreme northwest is the Little Hungarian Plain. Since 1989, Hungary has been a democratic parliamentary republic, and today it is considered a developed country with a high-income economy. Hungary is one of the thirty most popular tourist destinations in the world, attracting 10.2 million tourists a year (2011).

Hungary is located in Central Europe. The country’s capital of Budapest is also its largest city. Many people interested in Central European cultural travel to Budapest to study and learn at any of the higher education facilities. Hungary is bordered by Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Slovenia, Austria, and Serbia. Most people speak Hungarian, though many also speak English in the capital city.

Though once a world power, the country has become less political and more of a tourism base in recent years. It is one of the 30 most visited areas in the world, with more than 10 million people visiting annually. It also has the second largest thermal lake in the world. This high-income economic country has plenty to offer those who wish to study overseas.
